A friend of mine had this new winch for sale, and I couldn't pass it up. The line speed is about twice as fast as as my old Warn 9000i. I'm selling the 9000i to another friend.
What was weird is that the 9.5xp was wired backwards from the factory. "IN was "OUT" and "OUT was "IN". Since it was my job to install the fat wires on the winch motor, I assumed that I screwed up. I checked the labels and I had it correct. I opened the solenoid box and discovered that the two large solenoids were controlling "OUT" and the two small solenoids were controlling "IN". I figured that was backwards since "IN" is under load and "OUT" isn't. I switched it around and now the controller works as designed.
