Jeep-CAM v1 Videos

This page is dedicated to the videos created by the "Jeep-CAM".  Version 1 of the Jeep-CAM is an X10 camera purchased from http://www.x10.com for $75.  Included was the camera, transmitter, battery pack and the receiver.  This camera is color and transmits sound in mono.  I've found that the image glitches when the transmitter is forced to transmit though the Jeep body (from the undercarriage).  Also, the microphone is way too sensitive for the loud noises under the Jeep.  To remedy the glitch problem, I've extended the wire between the camera and the transmitter from 3 inches to 28 feet.  This allows me to route the wire inside the Jeep and transmit right next to the receiver.  In fact, I've used Velcro to attach the transmitter antenna directly to the receiver antenna.  No more glitching, but also defeats the purpose of having a cordless camera.  Version 2 will be a corded camera since I don't need the cordless feature.
