The following pictures don't show a lot of Jeep Action shots. We breezed through the trail with relative ease. On the way up Thompson Hill on the first day we came across a group with a broken shackle hanger on a CJ-7. We stopped and helped them make the repair. They didn't have a spare part so we welded the broken one back together. I heard from that group after we got home and the trail fix lasted the entire weekend. We set up camp for the first night just past Thompson Lake. There was quite a few groups on the trail this weekend, so the area around the lake was packed. It worked out nicely because we found a very flat spot, and didn't have any loud neighbors (unless you count the heard of cow that walked by during the night). Day 2 was relatively easy going. Stopped at all the lakes so Darrin and Kathy could fish. They didn't catch anything at Summit Lake, but they caught 3 large fish (14"+) at East Lake. One was let go because she was pregnant. The other two weren't pregnant, so they became dinner. Camp for the next night was about 1.5 hours past Ershim Lake. Again, the grounds were crowded with people, so we made our way to a spot we camped at 2 years ago with Brian and Jason. Very nice area, sandy grounds. Darrin setup the shower and we all got cleaned up. Day 3 was another easy driving day out of the trail. Divorce corner was a lot of fun! I went down a section that looked like a steep "V". The rear driver's side tire was airborne for a while and it felt like we were going over. I let up on the brakes and "plopped" into the "V". Things settled down after that and I wished the video camera was running. No such luck. We never even took the video camera out of the case all weekend. Just a relaxing weekend on the Dusy.
